1. You are going to compare how captain Algren changed his life after being captured, also describe the characteristics that captain Algren has as a leader.
In of facts was that taken hostage by Katsumoto since his happened, Algren found his spirituality, he began to feel and his conscience stopped tormenting him.
Another one of these facts was when during his return to the Japanese army, he sees the way that they treat the Ronin tribe, in the middle of a street he saw how they humiliated a young man of this tribe: They made him kneel and they cut his hair, insulting his traditions.
Another fact that changed his life was stop drinking alcohol.
We can observe the drastic change that Algren´s life takes, because when he joined the Japanese Army he had a terrible temper, he was rude and controlling. In general, he didn´t like it when his soldiers questioned him. After he was taken hostage he became a friendly man, who analyzes the situations better. It is clear that Algren went through a positive change when he joined the Konin.
In this way, for the first time in his life, Algren began to be autonomous.

2. How and why does Captain Algren overcome his addiction to alcohol? Compare what he does to what a drug addict could do.
Thanks to Take, he leans to survive without alcohol. At first it was had to be sober because it made him have painful memories of the times he was at war with the Redskins. The harmony he found at the Konin tribe also helped him.
A drug addict should follow Algren´s example because to stay away from drugs, a person must stay away from everything that harms him. Also, to accomplish this, a man must find his inner peace and a reason to live.
3. If you could change a part of the story, what would you change? Write the changes in your own words.
What we would change in the story would be the last battle. In our story Samurai Katsumoto would not die, his army would win the battle. To be more specifics, we have created a script:
In the final battle, Katsumoto pretends to be dead, and so do any of his soldiers. All of this to ambush the Japanese Army.
Captain Algren drags the dead bodies to make their death more credible.
When this happens, the Japanese Army celebrates the Konin take advantage of this and attacks them. At the end they are victotious.
SCENE CHOSEN
In this scene, Captain Algren is faced with the Japanese Army to the tribe Konin. The Army of Captain Algren was defeated, and the captain was captured by the Konin tribe. There he began his great change.
